i am a rookie and not a down to the earth artist. in my eyes its awesome!!
i dont know with what thought u drew this but what i can read from this isthe info we see has to pass through a maze to reach our pupil in the center. i dont know what it means? but it is cool !! the way you have shaed the pic is cool too, but it does feel a bit too gray scale, but that becomes lika a effect on its own. the eye lashes are awesome :). looking forward for more :) happy new year 2015

It was my first 'serious' artwork i dry point so i'm really glad you like it. In fact it's not very complicated to draw eye ;)

i really like this concept... -eye as the window of the soul, and the soul can be like a maze, trying to navigate it...
and also the saying 'you can get lost in her eyes' ...cool way of picturing it... an a-mazing eye ;-)

If you look around, you can make the little metal ball move through the maze.  Giggle

Seriously though, this is really cool! I love the level the detail!

incredible O A O you're very skilled at dry point etching I've tried my hands at printmaking and well lets just say it's not my forte XD

Thank you, it's very nice to read it.
In fact it's not directly dry point technique (i'm using plexiglass and calipers as a stylus :D haha). It's much easier to make it on this kind of textile. You should try it one more time but with different tolls :)

You're in art class? I ask because it's not very often thah someone knows something about dry point :P and even try it!

yes ^^ I had printmaking last session it was fun(I personally had no idea it existed [still]) it very challenging and requires a lot of practice (and a steady hand) to get the ink to come out right ^^; (oh and the keeping of the hands clean not to leave any finger prints w@  wahhhh!!) working with plexi was my favorite because of the accuracy and the textures you can create~ linoleum was also very fun managing the ink was a little easier but carving into it was a challenge(plus dangerous XD) but yeah I really respect those who create works like this because it really requires a lot of skills O u O!  Maybe it's just because I'm messy but I love to put in a lot of small details XD

I always destroy a lot of disposable gloves when i'm 'printmakeing'. It's a dirty job :D

Lino is dangerous! I agree. But the final effect is so pretty <3

I hope you'll try this again :)

disposable gloves sound better than rubber garden gloves XD =u=; the ink would stain the rubber and would seep into the fabric leaving finger prints everywhere XD I'll definitely try again with disposable gloves  O u O and lino is possibly the best if not the most fun(despite the dangers =u=; ehheheh)

in fact it's something like dry point but kind of modified.

I have my fanpage on fb www.facebook.com/pages/Agatart…   and  sometimes i put photos how this technique looks like :) it's rather hard to explain, i'm not sure if my English is good enough to do it
